How many treatments will I need?
This is a difficult question to answer and it is highly dependent on the nature of your condition.  Typically, 6-8 treatments are recommended for acute injuries or more complex conditions.  For home exercise programs, patients may only require 2-3 sessions over the course of a few months.
How often do I need treatment?
This is dependent on your condition, but most people will benefit from seeing the therapist more regularly for the first few weeks.  As your condition improves the visits will become less frequent.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No, you do not require a doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist, although some insurance companies may require a referral before they will provide reimbursement.
